Pleasant Plains is a village in Sangamon County, Illinois, United States. The population was 809 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Springfield, Illinois Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village was incorporated April 8, 1876

In an Emergency for Police or Medical Services, call 911.
If it is not an emergency, but an officer is needed right away for a call within the village limits of Pleasant Plains, call Sangamon County Central Dispatch at 217-753-6666, and they will contact us.
If you need to speak to an officer about a concern within the Village limits and it is not an emergency, or an officer is not needed right away, you may call our office at 217-626-1351. Please leave a detailed message, along with a callback number, and we will call you back as soon as we retrieve the message.
If Police is needed outside the Village limits, in Rural Sangamon County, call the Sangamon County Dispatch Non-Emergency number at 217-753-6666.
For reporting accidents, reckless drivers, stranded motorists, or any other types of calls that occur on State Route 125 outside the Village limits, call 911 or the Illinois State Police Non-Emergency number at 217-786-6677.

4. At the Illinois National Bank bank during their business hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday.

Pleasant Plains Rural Fire Protection District
The Pleasant Plains Rural Fire Protection District serves over 3,000 residents covering approximately 100 square miles in Sangamon County.
The District provides fire, rescue and emergency medical services. Emergency vehicles include three Fire Engines, two Brush Trucks, a Tanker, two Rescue Trucks and an Emergency Medical Squad.
The District also provides mutual aid to neighboring departments and counties.
